Originally from Williams Lake, British Columbia, I have maintained a commitment to serving individuals in rural and remote locations. After graduating as an occupational therapist, I worked for 5 years in Vancouver then moved to the Interior of BC and settled in Kamloops. In 2005 I started working in private practice and in 2014, I started my own company. Most recently I have developed that company, Dunamis Ventures, into a full time rehabilitation services business.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of BC dated 1987, and a Bachelor's of Science in Occupational Therapy from UBC dated 1991. I also completed a Master's of Science in Health Promotion though the University of Alberta in 2004.
I've been an Occupational Therapist since 1991 and worked in hospitals, community mental health and private practice. I have taught at TRU and Okanagan College and been instrumental in the development of mental health services in Kamloops.
In 2006 I trained under Min Trevor Kyi in the Matheson method for Functional Capacity Evaluations. I have been carrying out FCEs since that time. In 2022 I completed the Advanced FCE course through Matheson. I am a court qualified expert witness and also provide critiques of FCEs.
